A passion named Seafood

It's not hard to find a seafood restaurant in Ha Long. Probably, there is one in every corner of the city, not to mention the strip of shops facing the Bai Chay beach. It means that you will have to try many places in order to find a good host for your dinners. However, once you have tried Xom Vang, your search is no more!

The restaurant was started as a 5-table eatery more than twenty years ago (it's actually named after a Taiwanese drama, which was screened on the local TV and gained huge popularity at that time). Over the time, the patronage has grown greatly and the restaurant has developed to become a six-story, elevator-equipped building, which can host up to 300 guests at the same time. The restaurant interior employs timber cladding and timber ceiling, thus creates a clean, warm, home-like atmosphere. It also features tens of dining rooms of various sizes, suitable for holding small receptions or private parties.

It is the bounty of high-quality, fresh seafood and vegetable supplies that makes the restaurant a success. It is also reputable for culinary skills of its professionally trained chef, who received lessons from Mr. Dinh Ba Chau, a prize-winner in the 1990's Gastropa International Cook's Competition.

There are two things that a visitor to Ha Long must do: To cruise the Bay and to eat seafood, which is farmed in the rich marine environment of Ha Long Bay. Seafood is the passion of ours, and we hope to present it to you every time you visit Xom Vang.
